Project Rook
After buying set #8366 Supersonic RC and building both the cars, a friend set me the challenge of building a particular radio controlled device - codenamed Project Rook!
Pictures will appear as I build the model. Can you guess what it is?
Many thanks to William Howard for helping me obtain set #8366 at a reduced price.

2004-02-15: The base is complete. To minimise the base, I have mounted the motors vertically. The rest of the project will be built upon this. |

2004-02-18: A frame has been build around the base to support the main structure. The frame is attached to the chassis by means of axles running through the wheels at the rear, and an axle attached to the steering machanism at the front. As it stands just now, the frame is just too narrow to allow steering. I intend to widen the frame at the front by 1 stud each side. The size of the frame in this picture is 28 studs wide by 36 studs long. |

2004-02-24: An improved 2-wide frame has been build around the base. The size of the frame in this picture is 30 studs by 36 studs. As before, it it attached by the rear axle, and by the steering mechanism at the front. |

2004-02-27: Substantial building work has taken place on the frame and Project Rook is coming together. Any ideas yet? |
